The Anti-Slavery Whigs of Masaachusetts have got out a cali, repmliating the Philadelphia nomination. and calling a Convenlion at Worcester on the 23th, instant, U " lake such steps as the occasion shall demand." Wewb join the opening paragraphs of the cali. [Herkimsr Fréerifan.] TO THE PEOPLE OF MASSACUUSETTS. The Whig National Convention have nominated General Tayior for President of the U. otates. In se. doing, they have exceeded their jot aulhority, and have proposed a candidate wliorn no Xorthern Whig is bound to support. II'. is not a Whig, when tned by the standard of our party organization. He has nevcr voted for a Whig candidate, has declared that the party must not look to him as an exponent of its principies, that Be wouid accept the nomination of the Democratie party and that he would not submit hts claims to the decisión of the Whigs, acting through their regularlv constituid Convention. He is not a Whig, if judged by the opmions he entertains upon questions of public pohcy. Upon the great qaestion of Currency ana Luimnce.of Internal Improvements, of Protection to American Induatry, so far -f rom agreeing with tho Whigs, he has distinctly avowed that he has forined no opinión at all. He is not o Whig, if measured by the higher standard of principie, to which the Whigs of Masachusetts and of the North have pledgod themselves solemnly, deliberately and often. He is not opposed to the extensión of Slavery over nevv territories, acquired, and to be acquired by the United States. He is a lareholder, añd lias been selected becauso he could command votes which no Whig from the froe States could receive.
