Liberty Convention

The friends of liberty nnd human rights in the State of Michigan, are requested to meet at Jackson on Wedne'sdny the lCth dny of August next, for move thorough organizaron, and for mutual consnltation, encouragement nud support in the coming Presidential contest. ft need not bo said that we are in tlie vory midst of a crisis, involving en very thing dear nnd Bacred to American freemen ; and that mach of the safety nnd peinianciicy of our institutions, mny, nnd, probably wiü depend upon the energy and decisión of the Liberty party. Then Iet there be a great and general rally, not only of Liberty men of the State, but of all who repudíate the Cass and TayInr nomlnations. Let the masses come together, determined to sacrifico prejudice, party trammels, and mere naihen, upon tho altar of our country nnd our couutry's good.
