Nathan Power was callcd to the chair, and Win. G. Stone. chosen sccrelary. The object of the convention was set fortb. by reading the notice. The Conventioii then proceoded to nomnato, whicli resulted in the selection of Wm. G. Stone, of Troy, and Uoburt ?IcKay of Oxford, óakland Couuty, as candidates for the sufTragcs of'ilie electora of aaid District, ut the ensuing election, for the eeuate of thia state.
