This he ha3. most fai'.hfully done. Wheo the causo ia this Slate was in imminent danger, he has stood, in the fuce of misrepreBentation, slander, and falsehood.as a faithful sentinel at his post, and lias most Buccessfully vanq'iihhed the cnemy. For all this toil und labor, this obloquy and repronch, he has not received cnough to eustam him and his small fumily for ihroe montlis. Appealsin hia behalf have " often been made, buf, we regret to say, Wtth little effect. And now ior the last time, he appsais for help to those friends of the oppressed in this State, who believe in "paici lalor," and shall he appeal in vain? We trust ot. To one and all in this State, who believe the laborer is worthy of his hire, we would say, for your eake, for luiraanity's sake, for justicb sake, and last, though not least, for the sake of abolitionistn, if you have ariy sense of moral right, untie your purse, and do some thing at least towards paying him, who is soworihy of coropenáation. Say not (bat it is an old affair, its an old debt. Grantcd, but it ia an honest one and ought lo be pai. The claira of Bro. Treadwell has been fully sanctioned by the State Society. - They have declared it due, and houestly due, and the present board, one and p.1!, acknowlcdge the justice of his claim. - And shall we now go for the doctrine of repudiationï May heaven forbid, and entibie all to do justico in the premisos.
