A liUle word ia kindness spoken, A motion or a tear, Hath often healed thoheart that's broken, And made a friend sincere. A word - a Jook- has crushed to cartti, Pull many a budding ilitver, Which had a smile but owned its birth, Would bless ife's darkest hour. Then, deern it not an die thing A pleasant word to speak; The face you wear the thoughts you bring An heart rnay heal or break.
