At a conventimi of the Abolitionistsof Onkland coiinty, convened at Pontiac on the 15th. of Marcíi, it was Resolved, That a committee of three be appointed to mnke arrangements and procure speakers for n General County Meeting, to be held at soine future penod not f ar distant, lime and place to be designated by said commiitee. The commiitee have subsequently corresponded with und engaged the foliowing speakers, viz: Gut Bkckley of Ann Arbor.CHALKs H. Stkwart of Detroit, and James G. Bihisky of Saginaw. and one or two of our colored brethren of Detroit if they can be obtnined, to address a general meeting on the subject of Amercan Slavery, its evite and the ineusurcs to be pursued to rid our country of the Ibul blot on the National escutcheon, to be holden at Pon'iac on the first day or June rext, at ten o'clock A. M. The committee are confident they need only announce the names of the abovo persons fo ensure a Culi and general atiéndanle from all partsof the county, and also sume from the adjicent counlies. The ladies are also respectfuliy invited to favor the meeting with their attendance, for the cause of benevolence and pliilanthropy can never be fully accompüshed without their aid and co-operaZion. It is proposed that if any one present should wish to reply at the close of a speech, or niake any interrogaron of the several speakers, that such opportunity wil! be granied, nnd if one day shail not be enongh, we trust Heaven haa more in Ftore lo be spentin íherighteous cause for which we meet. Come then all. come t very one,nnd PBsist in redeemingour fallen country from its present degraded cfndition.
