Mr. Hornson, in the villaje of Jácfcson for thé pjurppse 01 nxtiking éuitaWö arrangemente for an ?pproprmte celebratioa ot the CHsuing 4th of July.I _ It was ununimously resolved by said meeting, that the children and youth öf the conimon schools, throughout the county, together with their parents and teachere, be invited to meet on that day at the Cdngregational Church in Jackson, at 10 o'clock, A. M., and thence repair in processiun to the grove north of the Teinprrance House, to listen to adrases from Messrs. Livermore aud Hawley, Esqs., on the subject of Common School Education, as indispensable to the permanency and prosperity of our civil and religious institutions, as wcll as to the individuals themselves. 2. That the WashinfT(onianSocieties,adult and juvenile,undcr appropriate banneri.be 1 ted to meet at the same time and place,to unite I in the celebration, and follow immediately the common school exercises vvith an address on Tempernnce, by the President of tjie day, the Hon. VViiliam J. Moody. 3. Resolved, That at "the close of the Temperance exercises, refreshments be furnished the children by parents and all those l'riendly to the object , on the ground. 4th. Resolved, That thore be an address immediately after refreshments, on the subjpct of Slavery, by the Rev. Mr. Jones of Grass Lake. 5th. Resolved, unanimously, that the Hon. Wm. J. Moody be invited to preside on th ocrasion, and that S. B. Rexford, Esq., be the Marshal of the düy. The citizens are respectfully invited to attend. R. solved, That the above be published in the viilage papers, and in the Sipnal of Liberty. By order of the Committee.
