-The Jacksou Democratdeprecates the celebration of this day by the Washingtonians, Common Schools, and Anti Slavery men unitetf, and finally comes to the magnanimous resolution, that "if the people of Jackson wish to celébrate our National Biftli Day with tbe avowed enemiei of this glorious repüblic. but let them do so, 'out we never will." He adds: "In the name of patriotista we protest against the vapid ravings of abolition fanatics from being mingled with those patriotic effueions - while the deede of our forefathers spontaneously cali forth on the anniversary of that glorious day, which proclaimed us, in dofiance of British power, a nation of freetnen''. OJWill the Editor of the Democrat demónstrate that the anti-slavery citizens of Jackson county aretfanatics k. avowed enemies of theircountry? As a gentleman, he is bound to subslantiate his chargés, or retract them.OMr. Mangtjm, ot N.
