Come Whigs, Democrats, nnd Lib'erty party men, we olí profess to be Washingtonians: let us then adopt his pledgeas our own, ancí íaithfully carry it out at the ballot box. Washington was rppublican. He went for the abolition of slavery by the lawfully exiressed will of the majority. He was for setting the question of politica! action, through the medium oí the ballot box. rhose who sustain slavery by poíitical action, and object to its abolition by the same means, are anti-Washingtonian?, anti-human rights, republican, and supporters of the most bitter and heart-rending cruellies, that ever existed upon the face of the earth. -
