The ballot resulted in the choico of Valorus Meekcr, of Ingham, whcreupon t was unanimously Resolved, That Valorirs Mceker, of I,T.ham County, bo our candidato for Senator in tho State Legislatura for tho regular term of uvoyenrs. On taking an informal ballot for a candidate to hü the vancancy occasioned by the dcnth ofHon. Henry Hew.tt, the result of the ballot was in favor of Erna; us Hnssey. Resolved, That Eras.us Hntey, of Calhonn County, be our cnndidate for Senator to iill ihe vncnncy. Resolved, That Jabez S. Fitch and G. L. 1 nndlc be a committee to draft an addiess to the elector? of the district, and that the same be pubIislied in the poliucal papers. On motion, Ile3olvcd, That a committee of threo be nPPontcd as a Central Senatorial Commitiee lor this district. Whereupon, Joscph E. Gilbert, E. T John son and John White were appointsd said committee. Resolved, Thai the proceedings of this meeting be pubhshed in the Signal of Liberty.
