I must not look for peaco Upon life's ocean; Forwho could be at case, I ti constant motioii? "Where ev'ry wave ihat swclU A waken s fear - And every tempest tells, Peace is noi herel I must not síé1í ior peace Upon time's shore - Whcre, wuke by every brecze, The billows roar - There. gathering tlangers rise, Fiom far and near, And thunder i'rom the skics - "Peace s not frcre." And yet 1 sail for pence Across life's ocean, ín search of encíiess ease Without co in nu) ti on - Now many a Ieagtve' o'er past, JVlyheart to cheer, 0 may a voice at Inet, Say, 'Teace is here!" Yes, o'er life's ocean flow I seek a home. Whercfwinds'never, never blow, Nor lempests come - 1 leave time's rugged strand Of wo and care, And hail the heavenly land - For peace is there!
