Jackson, March23tli, 1343. Tliis convention on the25th inst. assemblee! in Jackson, pursuant to previous nol ice, and organized by cnliing S. B. Trcadwell, to the Clmir, and appointiug C. H. Thompson, Secrelary. The convention then proceed to appoint Messrs. S. B. Treadwell, Wm. O. Stone, O. II. Fifield, Wm. P. Fificld, Rojal IIcndee, B. Huzleton and Dr. J. Mc Lean, a coinmittec to rrcommend to the convention a suitable nomination for town ofïicers, wliereupon the füllowinjr nemes were prescnisd by the cornmitteo, and unanimously adoptrd by the convention.
