To the Liberty Party Abolitionists throvghout the United States: Dear Frie.nds. - The providenco of God liaving placed msurmounliible obstacles n the way of holding a United Statrg A. S. Convention at Buffalo, on the 24th and 25th days of May net, as appointed, owing to the thick ice which covers Lakc Erie, ara as we are crcdibly informcd by friends in Ohio, will not be removed till the middle of Jure next, in ronsequence of wfiich, our friends iii Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Michigan could not altend except at great inconvenience and expense - the navigaion of said Lake being indispensable, or nenrly so, to thei' attendance - the eaid convention is therefore postponed until the first Wednesday n September next, and Thurxday following at Buflulo, when we shall hope to have returns from the London Convention. It is hoped that each State will send as many deligates as each Stnle is entitled to Representatives in Congress. Ho wever, all are invited to attend . ALVAN STEVVART, CUir. E. W.
