The Liberty men of this county appcar to be active and persevering. Thev have issued o wel! written address, to the electora oí" Berrien County, wliich leached us too late for nsertiou previous to the eJeclion, it has been in serted in the Niles Republicnn, a Democratie paper. The Editor apoiogizes for this act of überality, and winds off vvith the usual declamation about the evils of the Liberty party. We wish lie vvould sustain his positions. - He says : "Let it not be understood fhat we are an abolitionist, or tnat we agree with ihem as to the course they design to pursue f o effect, the abolition of elavery. On the contrary we bolieve that the orgnnization of such a party has been the menns of the chains etill stronger upon the slaves. and if it is not checkfd by the voice of public opinión, the result will prove most disastrous to the Union. Time will not permil us at present to comment upon this addre&s as we desire lo, and we therefore leave it 'for the intelligent render to draw his own conclusions."
