The vote of the Abohtion party in this State at the ensuing election, if we can judge from the activity and energy of their leaders, will be unusually large.- Their candidates for the several State and Congressional offices are already in the field, and inspirited by the success of their operations in Maine and other States, they will make extraordinary exertions to bring out all the Abolition strength in Michigan. We notice too, that they have put in nomi natiën local tickets in the several counties throughout the State, and their peculiar organ the "Signal of Liberty," is battling with great zeal in behalf of the various candidates. It is estimated that the Abolition vote in the State, this fall will be little short 'of three thousand. James G. Birney, of Saginaw, is the Gubernatorial candidate, and Luthek F. Stevens, of St. Joseph, is running for the Lieutenant-Governorship, on the Abolition ticket - Constitulional Demoer ót. OThe Christian Herald, which is published semimonthly at Detroit by the Baptist Convention, is steadily enlarging its subscription. lts circulation now amounts to about fifteen hundred. The Herald is well conducted, and we hope will continue to grow with the growth of the State.C56 It is said the Liberty vote of Ohio will fall short of what was at first anticipated The counties heard from thus far give 6761 Liberty votes. (t5 The Liberty candidate for the Legislature for Branch County was Curtís L. Youngs. We expect to have returns of a handsome vote in that county. Wbeat sells here at 53 cents per bushel.- The avernge price in tbis village, througb the fall has been about 58 cents. In New York, Nov. 3, Flour was selling at $4,56. Wheat was worth 95 cents.
