03The length of the Annual Report, and of the Congressional proceedings have excluded most of our lucubrations and he favors of one or two correspondents. The Congressional news will be read with nterest. It shows the steady advanceïient of our cause, which is driving up our National Legislature to action There are a very considerable number of new members, especially from the West. Their views have been formed by iniercourse among their constituents, and they will be more ready to carry out reforms han members of the old Congress. The anti-slavery question will probably come jefore the people of the whole Union, by vay of reports from the Select Committee on the Massachusetts Resolutions. The ndications now are that there will be majority and minority reports from that Committee. We trust that the anti-slavery issue will soon be brought before the people in some tangible shape, where ioliticians mitst take sides, and then we can bring the matter to a speedy termination. ftTWe have on hand a correspondence between Judge King, of Ohio, and VIr. Birney. It was received too lato for insertion this week.
