In the House, the report of the Coramittee appomted to count ihe votes for Governor and Lieut. Goverhor, stated the vote for Gov ernor, as follows:1 15 scattering votes for a number of persons. The Whg candidate for Lieut, Gorernor. {John Reid] hatl S7,63r,_necessary to a choieu G0,490. Monday last was appoinïecl to elect Governor and Lieut. Governor, and Uon. John Reed, Lt. Governor. BnVgs received 217 votes, Morton 132. EScctions have bern held n tbs thres vacant Conrrressional Distvicts. In the fith Mr. Biker. Whi?, was elected by a majority of 10 votos. In the ?tb3 Rockwell, Whig, was elected by SI 1 votea. ín the thïrd. Diatrict, thcie w.vs no chotee, Mr. Abbott, Whig, falling short 110 votei. At a sur-seqnent clection, Mr. Abbot succeeded by 2G votes. A State Liberly ConVention meets Feb.14 and 15, to nomínate a candidate fur Guveriior, and make other nrrangements.
