The tax bilí has been discussed in the enate. Mr. Green proposed that the ewspaper in which taxes should'be pubished in each county should be designaedby the board of Supervisors, which vas agroed too and the bill passed as folows: Yeas--Messrs. Gray, Hart, Ho wel] Mason, Niles, Pratt, Redfield, Shearer tarkey, Turner, Wilson - H. Nays - Messrs. Cust, Compton, Green Moody, Patterson, Richmond, Thurber -7. The bill for the more eíFectual organiation of the Milkia, was passed, ayes- 2 - nays 10. The House bill making appropriations orthe completion of of the Central Raiload to Kalamazoo, passed the Senate yes 14, nays 4. Mr. Howell reported a bilí from select ommittee, to amend the revised statutes elative to divorce,with some amendments, vhich were concurred in; and the bill was ead a third time and passed. Mr. Starkey osked and obtained leave o present a petition which he had received this afternoon from O. J. Case and and 104 citizens of Kalamazoo, asking he repeal of the adultery law of this session. The petition was referred to cora, on state affiiirs. O I" the debate on the tax bill, the following sentiments were promulgated, by Senator Howell.
