-Weannounced, bnefiy, the other day, the execution of Solomon Shoemaker, at Zanesville, Ohio, for the murder of hts own brother. - IJis confession is published in the Zanesville Aurora, and discloses a frightful sequence of crimes and vícps - disregard óf the Lord's day and of all religious duty, use of intoxicating liquor, unbndled passion, gross licentousness, jealousy, hatred. and murder. The story is brieily told. Shoemaker beenme desperately cnarnored of a gírl who had already been criminally intímate with his brother; he married her, but that intimacy was continued; he becnme fnrionsly ealous, drank himself to desperation, invited his brother to a Sunday gam bling party in the woods, and shot him on the way.
