The Legislature of Mnssachusetts has reiterated the rosolutions submitted sorae timesince by Mr. Adams, and passed by the prcvious Legislature, proposing tha the slave representation of the South in Congress should be abolished. It was al so staeed by Mr. Adams, in oflering them that thcy were passed unanimously. - The Democratie Representatives on the üoor of Ccmgress have not denied tlie statement, and, therefore, it may be taken as true. The whole State of Massachusetts, therefore, may be considered as taking ground permanently for this alteration. The Liberty Party State Convention of Massachusetts, was held in Boston on the 14th and lofh of February, and appears.to have been the most interesting and encouraging anti-slavery meeting ever held in that State. Upwards of 350 delegates enrolled their names as raembers, and it was thought there were at least 500 delegates present during the meeting. Among the distinguished visitors, were Gen. Appleton of Maine, Messrs. Stewart, Garnet, Briggsand G. W. Ciark ofN. Y.; Gilmer of Ohio; Brewerof Conn.; Lewis and Milton Clark of Ky. Arrangement were made for the publicaion of a daily anti-slavery newspaperin 3oston, by Rev. J. Leavitt and J. VV. Alden, to be called the "Morning Chronicle."Samuel E. Sewallwus nominated for Governor, William Jackson for Lieut. Governor, and John G. Whittier and Joel Hayden, Electors at large. Sixtcen mportant resolutions were discussed and assed. The Emancipator says that the nominations were made with a spontaneous unanimity and cordial confidence,emnently honorable to the nominees, and auspicious to the party. Not a single occasion of disco rd, or jangling, or heart jurning took place. The tone oí the meeting was highly religious.and calculacd to make every man feel that he was engaged in a cause,in which God's authorty is fully recognized, and in favor of which all his altributes may be invoked to
