The following is from the N. H. Courier: "At the late election in this State, the Liberty Party threw about 6000 votes, 4000 of which probably carne from those vho used to vote with the Whigs, and 2000 from those who were formerly of he Democratie party. In all human the Liberty Party will number 8000 in this State at the election of Elecors in November next, 5000 of whom once were Whigs and 3000 Democrats. The Van Buren party in a hard contest can poll nbout 27,000 votes in this state, and the Whigs about 21,000, and this estímate will give the balance of power to he Liberty party, and with them will be he balance of power in this State at the next March election. Hereafter the Liberty party will make great gains from the democratie party, as the Methodists and 3aptists are becoming Aboiltionists. Anotherthingwill aid the Liberty party, that s the Radical party inthis Stateare very much identified with the rum-interest,and nearly all the rum-sellersand rum-drinkerswill make a common cause with the Radical party. The Radical and the Rum mrties were united in most towns in the State at the late election. Let this be the case hereafter, and the temperance Radcals will in most cases act with the Liberty party, as in that party all are good temperance men." The Voice of Freedom,(Liberty) speaks óf the result thus: Glorioüs Result! - The liberty vote at our reeent state election proves to have yeen, so far as we have learned, 5829 nearly twice the vote of last year. This is a cheering gain, cohsidering the great disadvantage undér which we have labored. There have been but few lecturers in the field, and only a small portion of the year. The paper has had a precarious anti difficult existence - in very many towns no eflbrt at all has been made, yet we have made a very handsome gain. - We want now a lar ge and well sustained aper at Concord, threeor active and devoted agents, and Newfïampshireshall }e the first and foremost state in the cause of Liberty - her Athertons and Hubbards to the contrary notwithstanding. HilPs Patriot concedes to us 13 Representatives to which adding one from this town we have 14, a larger number than any state has before elected. We arestill in the van."
