The New England Democrat of yesterd&y, contains alegally attested copy of the boud to keep thepeace, which was imposed upon Mr. Clay in 1841, to prevent him from murdering or trying to murder a brotlier Senator, for words spokin in debate. The Democrat avers that the bond is uncancelled, and as it is unlimited, he will come mto office - if at all, UNDER BONDS TO KEEP THE PEACE. Wonder if he won't pardon blmself out - eh? - Emancipalor.BOND. United States of America. District of Columbio, , to wit: Be it remembered, that on the tenth day of March, in the year of onr Lord one thouaand eight hundred and one, before ue two of the justices of the peace for the county of Washington, of the District of Columbio,aonally nppeared Herry Clay ;and Willis Greepí, k. 8everally ncknowledged themselvea to owe iheUniled States of America, ihat is to say, the said Henry Clay five thousand dollars, and the said Willis Green five tliousand dollars, each ío be respctively levied of their bodies, goods, and chaltels, lands and lenemente, to and for tbe nse of the said United States, if the said Henrt Clay shall make default in the performanco of the condition8 underwritten. The condition of the above recognizance ís surh, that if the above named Hf.nry Clay shall keep the neace of the United States towarda all persons, and particularly towards William R.
