This subject carne tip befare the Arncr ican Anti-slavery Society at thoir Anuu al Meeting in New York. Strange to teil, after a full discussion, the measuro was adopted by a strong vote - yens 59 nays 21. It was protcstc'd against BV Thomas Earle, D. L. Clilld, and othei Ieading members of the Society. We have examinedtheproceedings with some care, to learn how the Union istó be dlssolvcd. We supposed it took the Peopïe to dissolve the Union. So far as we can ascertain, the intention of the seccders i. to refuse to vote, hold office, perform military duty, or in any way actively recognizethe authority of Government. As to paying taxes, the sèceders will peaccably pay the taxes that maybe demanded of them, just as they would to an individual robber. It is evident that in this way it will require the wJioïe People to effect a dissolution of the Union.After all, is it worlh while to talk of such a Revolution because one seventicth' )art of the people hold slavcs? 'Wou ld' t not look moro 'marily and raticnál to stop the atrocities of this small niinority, rather than break up our goverhment on their account1? Dissolution wiil henceíorth be the leruling object of the Soo.iety. Garrison, who is astrong advocate of it; is President of the Society. A resoknion of "unequi vocal condemnation" of the Liberty party wasadopted; of course. The following was proposed by the Editor of the A. Si Standard, and laid on the table: 'Resolved, That we regard with satisfaction the letter of Henry Clay, in relation to the annexation of Texas. Among the Vico Presidents for nex year, we notice óur oíd anti-slávery co adjutor, Z. Platt Esq., late Whig Attor General of Michigan. Does he too go the Dissolution of the Union?
