M. where I found sume 70 or 80 coiored day school ecluilars. which; together with coiored adults made an assemblage of some 200 persons. Their excellent, exemplary nnd talented instructor, F.ld. Munroe, (a coiored man) coinnienced the exercises by some pertinent reninrks which were moetly confined to ihe events connected with the American Revoluüon. He spokeof the firat blood spilt in that struggle as h.ving "flowed from the veins of a coJored man;" and of the demonstrations of patriot ism and braveryrmade by the coiored soldiera and reg;ments through the war.
