-The importe of specie into theUnited btntes durmg t)e year 1343, from all quarters were #23,285,552. Of ihis large amount $17,000,000 were in gold coin, and $6,000,000 in silver. The exporta of specie frotn the United States in the same year were $3,618,399, which made an exceps of the imports over the exporte, - or in other words made the nett increase of specie for the year, -$20,167,153. The last report of the N. E. F. Moral Reform Society, stiltes that there are 600 houses of ill fame in tho city of Boston.
