Alexander, Sec'y.& Fourteen Liberty mernbers have been lected to the Legislattire of Vermont. Ann Arbob, Sept, 27, 1C44. The weather for ihe last two weeks has teen dry and fine, affording the farmers a good pportunity of sowing their wheat, and gatherin their fdl crops. The incessant raius through the summer have prevented the usual drotight, and we Iearn that corn, oats, and po tatoes, will yield well. There is but J ittle fruit in this vicinity, owing to the late frosts in the Spring. Peaches sell from 75 cents to .f 1,00 a bushei . But few apples in market. Wheat comes in very elowlr . The buyers r numeroua, and oífer 62J to 65 cents, which ii quite aa high as they can affbrd to pay, con ■idermg the present prices ia the New York roarket. On the t7th, Afichignn Flour was quoted at $4, 1 8 to $4,25 . The farmers gen rally are disappointed in the yield -of their Wheat, as the growth of the gram was dispiéportionate to that of the straw, and a i iderable portion of it is shrunk more or less. Prfflsent appearances indícate that the amount of Flour and Wheat sent from this vicinity to thé eastern markets will be considerablr lasa tli8 fall than usual.
