Who can deny that the State Journal, at least, "is becoming more and more anii-slavery"? QCf" Our cxchangc papers contain numeroua notices of the various extravagances and inconsistenties of the Second Advent believers. The delusion on this subject seems to ie far more prevaleni at the East than in the Western country. About the tenty-second of Ia6t monln, the day fixed for the general winding up of all thingp, ]arge numbers in different places abandoned their business, and n many casee disposed of ther property, and will soon be in a fair way to suffer for the necessaries of life. A' considerable portion of the believers have maintained an irreproachable character for probity and piet.
