-We think it lms beenpublished that one of these animáis had been imported ïnto New York. Bur, at all everits, it may be of interest to observe that the Alpaca yields a fleece of seventeen pounds of fine, long silky wool. - Sorae óf these animáis have been catrried to England and Scotland. They cannor live in a hot climate, but thrivé on the AnJes, and are said to be vcry hardy. - Their ilesh is somethíngbetween nuil ton and veniaoD. We should lliink these animals might da wellon the rocky hills of Maine and Vennont. Jl is said they would live where shceo would starve. - As they travel wel!, they might be summ-ered on the highest mountains al! along the Alleghany ridge, and wintered in the valleys. as is dono with the Merino sheép in Spain, and they are kept with Htüe or no fodder.
