Tbe Annua] Meeting of the Society was held in Uie Court House at Jackson on WedensilayFeb. 5, 1845, at 2u"clock, P.M. The President, S. B. Treadwell Esq. took the chair. The house having been completely fiiled ot tle hour of meeting by large numbers wbo had come in f rom lite adjoining fowns with tlie expcctation of hearing remarks from JurnesG. Birney and other gentlemen; the business proceedings were postponed, and Messrs. Birney and Slevvurt addreesed the audience with great acceplai.ce until the hour of adjournment. 8VE.MNG SESSJOX. Resolved, That wo congralulate eaeb other on permitled to meet at Ibis oar Fevenlh onniversary, under so propitiotis circurastances, and would render our unfeigned thanks to God for hs eontinued blesswg upen our humble efforts the past year. 2. Resolved, Tliat m view of the opposition, honorable and dishonorabie - its intensity nnd extent, witb wiiich the Liberty principie has had to contend, it is remarkable that it has not only held its own, but steadily ncreased, provingr not only the unfaltering feahy of Liberty raen, but the sterling tiuth of their principies. 8. Resolved, Tnat. tlie extensión of atislavery principies to soulhem States, as manifested by the action in the Sutes of Delaware, Virginia and Kentncky, and the inercasng southern subscription to Libi.-rty papers ia cheering eviderce of the progress of antislavory, we hail as co opera' ors in the bleesed work of emancipation our suuthern brethren. 4. Resolved, That the thanlcs of the society be given to the civizens of Jackson for their kind hospitalities during the session. 5. Resolved, That we adjourn to mpet at Marshall, Calhoun Co. mmediately after the closingr of the Michigan State Temperanco Society, which is to meet the first Tuesday of' February nexr. The proceedings of the meeting were greatly onlivened by the cxeicises of a choir of ladies and gentlemen of Jackson who volunteered their services, and whose performances were received with the highest applause. The Society then adjourned.
