State Liberty Convention
Pursunnt to a cali of the Central Committee, the Liberty Party of Michigan assembled in convention at the Court House at Jacksoiï on Thuraay, Feb. 6, 1845. S. B. Treadwell, was appointed President, and J. C. GtiUup andJ. N. Stickncy, Secretarios. The conveution thpn united in prayer with Rev. Mr. Tuyior of Albion. The object of the convcoüon having been stnted by thé Pre3Ãdenl, Messrs. C. Gurney, G. Beckley, Geo. Millerd, L. Wilco.x and V. Meeker were appoin ed a eouimittee on credentials. On motion of C. IL Stewart. it was resolved that vacancies in the county delegalions be supplied by the members frotn fhose fripuda now present who do uot constituà e any part of ihe canvention.
