Editors: - If all Liberty men Avere aware of the influence of every Liberty vote cnst ai out town elections, there would not be r s many to stay at home or iway from the elecfion as there were this Spring in some towns. In Columbia, Jackson County, between fifteen and twenty true Liberty men who voted last Fnll for liberly, stayed at home, yet we blected one Constable and come within five votes of electing Supervisor. Had threé-fourths of ihose who stayed at hometurnedoutwe should have elected naïf our ticket, or more. The Liberty vote was but ihree loss on a ful! ticket thnn it was last November with thls number at home, which shows our increase since last Fall. The Liberty party is no more the third party in this town, the Whigsbeing íess in number. The Whigs are ns well ás the Democrats opposed us with their Svhole strength. ín Napoleon, the Liberty Town Trensurer was.clecied.
