At a meeting of delegateB fronï the eeveral fchool diatricts of thè'township of Pittsfield held pursuant to a reeulution unanimously a dopled at thé last nnnual meeting of sak township, for the purpose of selecting Buitable books to bo used uniformly in all the schools in the tovvn; thefollowing were witl great unammity reconimënded, vtz: Sander's Spelling Book. The Child's Guide, Colburn's Intellectual Arithmetic, Adam' New do. Kirkhnm's Grnrnmar, Alitchells Large Geogrnphy and Atlas, Do. Small do. ComRtoek's Philosophy, Webster 'a Dictionary, Goodnch'a History of ibe United Statee with Emersons Queslioue, Parker's Composition, The New Testnmenf, daily, Constitution of the United States, ,i0. of this State, Declaration of Independence. It was also recommended, that each district, furnish as ppendages to the School, a Map of Michigan, a Map of WoBhtenaw Co., Webster's Large Dirtionary, The Teachers Manual, and a large Black-bcard. Wheat sel Is to-day from 70 to 72 cents, and sales small. Flour is held at retail at 3,87 i. The weather has been cool since the late rains. The grass hus attained an early start, and looks fine. On Wednesday tiight thefe was a severe írost, which is said to have effectually destroyed much of the fruit in this vicinity.
