Our readers will rccollect that severel years slnce the national antislavery society dividcc into two bodies; oneunder the leed1 of Garri8on and hta friends retained the old appellation of the Americdn' Anti-Slavery Society, while the other, for the sake of distinction, was designated as the American and Fureigu Antislavery Society. This last mentioned asFociation, owing to the organization of the Liberty party in each State, and óflifcr cause?, have not entered into the work very extensivoly. But at the recent annual meeting of the society, the Executive Gommittee determined on a more active and efficiënt plan of operationp. They intond to take charge of thope departments of antislavery action which are Btrictly national, leaving ho local socielies to act respecting local affüirs. Besides correeponding with foreign socielies, pieparing bookp, pamphlete, &tc, they will issue a monthly paper to be called the "Anti-SJavery Reporter," to be under the chnrgc of Rev. A. A. Phelps, formerly editor of the Emanc'pator. This is dfsigncd to be a register of all the more important niovements respecting the cnusc, both at home and abroad, and will stistain ilie principies of the Liberty party. The Roporler will be in a good shape for binding and permanent preservnticn. The prico will be 50 cents in ad vanee for onecopy to one address: 5 copies, O2; 8 copies JiS: 14 copies, $3,00.
