We find in the Union of S.iturd:iy the following- tran.-lation of the Big Letter from the Emperor of China 10 ?lie Prtsid nt oflhe Uui ted State?, uhich reached Iho Department of Staie on Friday. The transluttun was made by Mr. Parker, late Chinese Secrctary of tlip Legation, and accompunied the original. The document is a Lreat curiosity. It consista ni' a roll 7 leet 1 inch lung1, by 2 feet 11 inche wide. The tv riting ia on a field of plain yellow silk, with a margin of silk of tho snme color, embronlered irrgold thread. The letter is in two laniniflcres, (Chinese nnd Mancliu Tartar) in charucters of large sizo, and m perpendicular colunui?, which are fcpara'.t'tl ín the iniddíe by the Imperinl eeal - which in composed of Chinese churacter, enclosod in carfonche about 3 inciies square. This roll i-encloseü in o wrapper of yello.v silk, (yellow being the imperial color) which again is enclosed in a round box covered vvilh yellow uilk, and cloc-ed by two fasteninga of jade stuiie; and finally is tnclosed in nn oblong pqnnre box of rose wood, and padded and lined wltÈ yelluvv silk.
