ttT"3 We should have noliced last week the death of Mr. Kirkland, formerly of Delroit, and subsequently of Livingston County. His body was found in the Hudson River, near Newburgh. It is supposed that in the darkness of the night he walked oiF the doek. Mr. Kirkland was an antislavery man, a good scholar and writer, and a contributor to the first volames of the Signal. Mrs. Kirkland, hiswife, is widely known in Jhe literary world.
