-The HagerslownNWs gives the fullowing account of a ingular slave case. Bül Gross, the negro slave who was convicted of the murder of Mr. Joseph Merchant at ihe last Spring term of Washington couniy court, and by the :ourt ordered to be sold out of the State, s again in prison in ihis place. He was purcimsed from the eputy sheriff of ihis county by Hope H. Slatier,a ncgrodealer of Baltimore, and by him shipped to jouisiana. The introduction of a slavo onvict into that State was a violation of aw, for which Slatter was required to ray a heavy fine, as alsoto again remove lie negro. Henee he has been returr.ed to this place, and Slatier has entered suit against our late shersíf, Air. D. T. Wilson, to recover damages sustainedby having imposed upon hún a cbnvict, through which he wns brought iuto so great difiiculties in Louisiana.A correspondent from Havana writes to our friend of La Pairia, that the grand prize of the Roy al Lotrery- tbe $100,000 - was drawn by fifty negroes, most of them slaves. They had joined to buy threc vhoJe tickeis, and gave one dollar each for that purpose. One of those tickets was the number 8997, and on the morning oftho 18tU they found ihat each of thcm had vron $2,000.
