Quite an excitement sprung up yesterday on occasion of a colored man being brought here in irons by a Kcntuckian, who claimed to be the Attorney or Agent of his owner. The man claimed as a slave, we are to:d, was taken at Detroit nnd brought thence in a sleigh, bound hand and foot with chains. A babeas corpus was granted by Judge Tilden, but beforethe writ could be procured and returned, the colored man was spinled away. In the mean time the Kentucky Attorney wns tuken before Justice Lownsbury, on charge of assault and battery and kidnapping, and in default of showing that he had the colored man legnlly in his cuslody, he was bound over to appcar at the next term of the common pleas to answer to these charges. These are the fucts as stated to us, but we have as yet ascertained but liitle about the affair, and will not vouch for their entire correctness. The Kentuckian seemed to be unaware of comrr.itting any breach of law, and was open in all his proceedings. - Toledo Blade. Kidnapping.- We lenrn thnt the principáis in the case of kidnapping in this City, which was frustratcd in Toledo a few days since, have been ferreted out, and diecovered tob two youngmenployeü in an upholsier's shop here. One of them we learn was arrosted on Saturday, and tho oiher is reiumed non est. The black fellow wa employed in the samo shop with the kidnappers. They lassocd their fellow laborer one night, and without giving him a chance to cry 11 help," shipped him on board of a sleigh for Toledo, whore the affair was discoved nnd the captive set free. The perpetrators of the outrage will now slnnd a chanco of raaking n experimental compnrison betweon bondage and freedom -
