TIio editor of the Lynn Pioneer is traveling in Europc, and furnishing interesting correspondenee for his paper. We take several items from his last letter : II frequently happens in this pnrt of the world thnt clergymen refuse to officiale nt burials because the person deceased was not of their faith ; so ihat if their examples were followed, the corpses of all such persons wouid be left above ground, all the funeral nies being performed by " worms and things." The other day in England, a little ckild was demed the l)enefit of clergy, because it had the impudence and infideliiy to die before it was received into Ihe ehurch: - and I see by the last Sujblk Chroitide, that a Mr. Lee of Ilk rton, in consequenoe of a disputo witli his clergyman, has had a sephulchral vault made in his parlor, and bun'ed an only cliild ir,! Bnth houses and wasli housesare being establishcd in inanyof the principal tovvns in England, where for a penny or Uvo one can gel a good Bctliesdan dip, - and where poor women, if scant home accommodalion, can go with their week's ' wasliing and '-do" it and dry it, with more conveniences than can be found at ihe house of Ijie rich, yet at a very I fling cost. L3000 sterling which the Free Church got fi-om 'lie American slaveholders, lies in t heir strong box, unappropriated, untouchpd, - and no one of their number has the harcühood to move that a. fnrthingof it be used. It is the " price of blood," and they feel it lo be so. They vvish it at the bottom of the sea, not having pluck enoLigh either to appropriate it, or send it back. EU hu Burritt is in Ireland, but is expected shortly n Scoiland. No person from llie United States ever took such slrong ho!d as he has done upon the English heart. Such men don't grow on trees. Punch bas been saying a good word fbr the present Pope, because of his faitliful labors in the cause of Ecclesiastical roform. Punch and tl:e Pope ! What nn association ! It beats "Punch and Judy " all hoüow.
