To ii waken the South to a full sense of the importance of the questions at issue, and to unite all true men in her cause ; this is the first duty of the press and one which o'jr broiher of the Patriot wiil be among the last to forget or be tray. Let the Presideney rnke care o itsftlf. Tho South must and will stip port no man for the Presideney who is not true to her and the Constitution. - Those who stand the foremost champior. of the good cause, will, if not office, re ceive from a grateful country the hono and fame which even ambition covel more than office.
