We have returried from the State Meeting just as our paper was going to the press; and we have orlly time to sa y this week, that the Convention wascheering in iis numbers, character, deliberations and results. Between sixty anc seventy delégales were present, making a very genera! representation for the State. The greatest unanimity ot" feeling anc sentiment, on tivery important point, prevailed, CHËSTBR GURNEY, of St. Joseph County, who has long b een well known through the western part ol the State, was nominated for Governor,anc Horace Hallock, of Detroit, for Lieut.
