Mr. Fosdick was called to succeed him, and he pleased his employers in all thingsj but the experiment has proved that rum will not draw people to meeting on Sundays; and after Ia boring three or four years Mr. F. retires in despair, ihro' absolute want of a congregation in one of the finest houses of worship in Boston.'
