This Convention was organized by nppointing Wm. Savnge, of Litchfield, Chairman, and David M. Bagley, of ilillsi'ale, Secretarv. Mr. Jamos M. Rnymond, stated the objects of the convention, which nfter sevenl informal ballotings, proceedec! to a formal baüot, and made the following nomn-xtions : For Cótinty Judge-Eihel Judd, of Adams. For Second Judge- Lyman Pea=p, of Wheailand. For Repres-entaiivps- William Savrge, of Litchfield, James M. Ravmond, of Fa' ette. Djvid M. Baglev, James Wheeler, James M. Raymond, Eiliel Judd, and Lemuel Long, wen appointed a County Commiltee. D. M. Baglev, from the corrmittee aplointed for tli3 purpose, reponed an address, which, after being discussed by Me-srs. Judd, Savage.Woodwimi, Bn-ley, and others, was amended by inserling the naragrnph diaopproving of monopolies, class legislalion, &o., a„d unanimously adoptpd.
