Mkssrs Editors: - I writcyou the result of our tovvn ellection. We made out a full ticket, and gave 50 vctes,good and trut?. We elect ed our candidate for Justice, Thomas Sugden, by 71 mnjority over the regular Democratie candidate, also one School Inspector and ono Constable, by about the samo mnjority, thua proving one facl, that we have gooti timber in our ranks. The w?iigs did nol run a ticket. In fact the reoHfard Ciderites have gone over to the mif called Democratie party; the honest portion are liberty men, and there aro only about 15 luft who are waiting to vote for Harry thegieat Trader in Solus, and novv, gentlemen, in view of all the resulls of our movemenle in the good cause, I feel greallv encouroged, I beheve God hos blessed and will continue to bless us, and to Him let us ascribe all the honor and glory. The good seed is sown, abroad cast over the Jand, tha harvest is plenteous, pray thereforc that tho reapers oí' the good cause may beincreased in every city, vilJage, town, hamlet, school district, and secluded corner, of our slavery-cursed land, shall ring with their shoughts of "onward" for the great day of Freedom's Jubilee, when the last cha-n shall le broken, and the last human chattel freed.
