Messrs. Editors: - The friends of the Liberty party of the coiuity of Wayne, nssenibloJ it) convention on Tuesday, (he 19th instant pursuant to public notice, for the purpose of mnking suitable nominations to the State Legislaturc. Samuel P. Mead was cailed to the chair, and Hendereon Crawford was appointed Secretary . The convention was opened with prayer by the Rev. Mr. McDowell, of Detroit. The convention then proceeded to moke choice of candidates for Representatives.The following gentlemen were unanimou6ly chosen : Alanson Sheley, of Detroit, Horoce Hallock, " Williom S. Gregory, of P]ymoothf Benjamin F. Stevens, of Livonia, II rum Betts, of Redford, George W. Swifl, of Nankin. The following gentlemen were named aommitteeto fill vacancies: C. H. Slewart nd A. L. Porter, of Detroit, M. S. Bradley, f Plymoutb, Osborne Swift, of Nankin, and saac L. Dennis, of Livonia. The following gentlemen were appointed elegates to the Senatorial Convention. Emery Curtís, of Redford, Harvey S. Bradey, of Plymoutb, E. O. Bennett, of Nankin, i. Crawford, of Livonia, Charles H. Stewart, nd VVm. Bnrnum, of Detroit. r T. T. Lyon, of Plymouth, W E. Peters, f Detroit, and Isaac L. Dennis, of Livonia, were appointed a County Corresponding Committce. The Convention then adjourned sine die.
