In this State, the Demócrata have lost the small majority in the Legislature they had last year. The Whigs have a majorify onjoinl ballot of about 17, thus a U. S. Senator n the place of Mr. Kerr, whose term of service expired last March. The Whig majority is about 3000. It is claimed that this adcis eight more to the electoral votes which are certaia for Mr. Cay, making the aggregrate 72. The ivhole number of electoral votes is L75, of which 133 are necessary to a choice.
