Deacon W. waa a nntive of New England, and for some years a resident of Westinoreland, Oneida county, N. Y. Hisconversion is dated prcvious tohis leaving New Englund - his early christian course was niarkod by an even, consistent progresa. After h s removal to W. his whole life gave etrong and positivo proof of increasing interest and attnehment to Christ. He was a very active m niber of the church. Somc fifteen years sincc, while living at W. a chango in his temporal affairs took place, suddenly changing him from affluence, to comparativo poverty - which was the occasion of his removal to this place. This reverse he claimrd as the grentest Messing over bestowed upon hun, by his hcavenly Father. From this period a new era opened in his hfc - and he consecrated himself and all hc had unto the Lord ; and from this moment, until hisdeath, ne seeined to know nothing bnt Christ, and him cruciiïed, as no doubt all who wcre acquainted With him will leslify. He was a member of the Congregational church, in Grasa Lake, tnucli beloved. In the death of this Godly man, a wife has lost a kind and faithful husband. The numerous fa mily of children, have been bereft, of an aifectionatc, and tender father, the church a pillar, and the poor dying sinner a faithful and tried friend. Hc spent the most of his time visiting from house to house, in diiferent townsi urging sinners to submission, and christians to more faithful ness. The poor slnve too, has lost a faithful, and pr recrvcring friend. His heart was too deeply imbiied with the love of Christ not to remember thosc in bonds, a9 bound wiih them. In short, he was rendy for evcry good wordnnd work, but he is gone. Yes - and blessed nre (he dead who die in the Lord. Coat. DIED. - Suddenly, at her residence in this villagc yesterday aflernoon, of an afFcction of the heart, Mns.
