On nesday, Judge VViggins committed to jail eleven (Vee men of color, composing the crew ofiheship Ambnssador. The captain was nlso obliged to pay the costs, & give bond in ihe sura of $2000 to carry these men awny f rom the State, according to the luws made and provided in such cases. Within the past ten days Justice VViggins has committed two ollier crews to jail, under similar circumstances, the whoie number of men in the three cases comprising 20. Heavy penaliies will nccording to luw, Ie infiicted" on these men if they return to the State. - Mobile Herald, Aug. Isl. We do not know where the Ambassadór hails from, but is doubtless froni one of the frce States, for foreign nations we believe do not submit to such imudence.
