We have already broujjht to the notice of our readers the project of an An;iSlavery paper n Western Virginia. - It is to be a weekly paper, published at Moundvüls, Marshall Cotinty, Virginia. "The object of the Editor," says its Prospectus, "will be lo advance the causo of Freedom, and make the "Crisis" aam. teresting and instructive Family nevvspnper. iiis raain purpose will be by every Peaceful, Consiitutional and Chistian method, to reslore tho prosperfly of Virginia, by advocnting the claims of Lib erty as ihe only real basis on wliioh to build that prosperity." It will be edited by Anson Berksliire,a resident of Virginia, in connection with one ar more Corresponding Ecitors, whose abihty is known. The subscription pnce will be two dollars per annum, ia iidvance. We had Iho pleasure of conversing with Mr. Berkshire who is now in the city, yesterday inorning. We learn from liim, that the first number of the Crisis will be i.s.noj about ihe 6t of uexi December. Mr. Berkshire is now on a visit, of a few days to this place and vicinity for the purpose of soliciting subscribers. The District in vvhich it is to be published is very much imbued with Anti-Slavery sentiment, and there can bc no fear that the paper will meet with nny molestation. A strong interes! is there feit in its success, even among I those, not openly committed ir. favor of Emancipalion. lt is to be recollected, howevor, that an Anti-Slavery paper in a Slave State, muststruggle agninst many disadvantages.
